INDEPENDENT PRODUCT STUDIO

I could have left it alone. Instead, I built something.

From finding a time to meet to deciding what to eat, small everyday frustrations often spark new ideas.

Marumade is where I turn those ideas into working products, put them in people's hands, and keep making them better.

When can we all meet?

Coordinating schedules shouldn't mean asking everyone the same question over and over.

ufree lets people share their availability through a single link and find a time that works for the group. No accounts. No unnecessary steps.

Beyond the headline.

There's no shortage of news. Understanding why a story matters is the harder part.

CherryPick is a daily briefing service designed to help readers make sense of what's happening. It selects ten key stories each day and goes beyond the headlines to explain the context behind them. Less noise. More understanding.

02 / HOW I WORK

Building is only half the story. What happens after launch matters more.

Sometimes a feature that seemed essential turns out to be unnecessary. Sometimes people struggle with something I thought was obvious.

That's why I pay attention to what happens after a product goes live.

Where do people get stuck? What do they come back for? What could be simpler?

I keep what works, rethink what doesn't, and learn from the people using what I've made.

I'm still figuring plenty of things out. That's part of the process.

An idea only goes so far. What matters is how it works for real people.

03 / ABOUT

Hi, I'm maru.

I build things inspired by the little frustrations I run into every day.

I work across product planning, design, and development. After launching something, I pay attention to how people use it and figure out what to improve next.

My projects cover different areas, but I tend to ask the same questions. Is it easy to understand? Does it solve a real problem? Would someone want to use it again?

Marumade is where I bring those projects together and share what I learn along the way.
